Directors are the grand puppeteers of a movie.
A film will hinge on the director’s final, “Cut”. The movie is their vision, and if they like what the actors, set designers, costume makers and extras have to offer, than so be it.
The only beef I have with the current state of directors is there aren’t really enough female directors. Perhaps, it’s because a lot of my favourite films are action, thriller and horror oriented. Still, I encourage people to leave a comment suggesting some names and works I should take a boo at.
