DRAGON’S NEW DEN: North York’s Committee of Adjustment approved the zoning by-law amendment requests for 21 Park Lane Circle, a property linked to rap star Drake.

The Bridle Path may be getting a little more musical.

A mansion proposed for construction at 21 Park Lane Circle was given the rubber stamp of approval May 26 by North York’s Committee for Adjustment.

It is reportedly linked to rap star and former Forest Hill resident Drake, also known as Aubrey Drake Graham. The property, which has a modest bungalow on it, was purchased in September 2015 by 3287650 Nova Scotia Company. According to Toronto Life, the connection to Drake is that one of his entourage, Future the Prince, has his real name, Adel Nur, on the list of directors.

The bungalow is to be razed and a two-storey, 21,000-square-foot palace built in its place. Local architect Ferris Rafauli has been contracted to design the home.

Zoning bylaw requests were to widen the driveway to 34 metres, increase the property height to under 18 metres and make other aesthetic amendments.

Drake paid $6.7 million for the parcel of land which was previously owned by Kuidou Wu.
