FAMILY FOCUS: The Grantham family, from left, Karl, Ron, Petra and Kurt, is coming together to help celebrate the 75th anniversary of Rolph Road Elementary School.

Leasider Petra Grantham is looking for Rolph Road memorabilia for a 75th anniversary celebration.

The mother of two alum, Kurt and Karl, and wife of another, Ron Grantham, has a penchant for all things historical, and is putting together an event for attendees of the Sutherland Drive and Rolph Road primary school.

“I’m just a history buff — I like to puzzle, put things together,” Petra Grantham admits. “It’s self-actualization for me.”

A social event for alum is set for Oct. 24 at the William Lea Room, by the arena, and an open house is set for the following day at Rolph Road Elementary School.

Grantham said she is hoping to get knick knacks and mementos from those who attended so she can put together a presentation for alum.

“I don’t know what it’s going to look like at the moment,” she said. “It all depends on the materials we get from the public.”

Grantham says she is setting the deadline for submissions for the end of the month.

“I’m asking people, the sooner the better, but I’m going to say by the end of August,” she said.
