After a couple months hiatus, I’ve decided to kick off the cobwebs on my Top 25 lists.
To rekindle the lists section, I’m focusing on music.
Over the past two decades my musical interests have grown. From my admittedly myopic fascination with ’70s progressive rock during my teenage years, to my full immersion into electronic in university, my music collection has expanded to my benefit.
In 1997 one album was the catalyst for me to open my eyes and ears to music: Homework by Daft Punk. As I entered university, I caught on to the big band revival.
I’ve always been a rock fan. I returned to the early ’90s in the mid aughts, revisiting the sub genre of grunge — one I failed to pay attention to in my early teens out of rebellion. Admittedly I’m not partial to rap, I loathe opera and I can do without classical music.
