It’s a sad end to one of the most talented musicians to inhabit the rock and roll landscape.
Chris Cornell is one of my favourite musicians. I use the present tense because his artwork still remains even though he has departed. It’s hard to imagine a universe without such a songwriter.
But with great artistry, there is pain. And that pain would have been residing in a 53-year-old, today.
Here’s my nod to Cornell. These are my favourite pieces composed by him, either with Soundgarden, Audioslave, but not exactly with Timbaland. We won’t wade into “Part of Me” territory.
And my apologies for the Audioslave heavy list. I can listen to those three albums for the rest of my life.
