With a collection of over 700 CDs, you could say I love music.

But, that would be an understatement.

I live, breathe and crap music. Though I am not in a band, nor am I even an accomplished guitarist, strumming my six-string much like Sherlock Holmes fiddles with his violin, I still love it.

With everything from 5440 to ZZ Top, and the genres of Electronic, Country, Blues, Rock, Jazz and R&B followed closely, I would say I am well versed.

Though there are few genres and sub-genres I don’t care for, including rap and hip hop.

My collection from rap features the Beastie Boys, Will Smith (yes I know what you’re thinking) and the Black Eyed Peas.

Don’t get me wrong, I love the contentious politically motivated rap from Public Enemy, Run DMC and Dream Warriors, but if you play any gangsta rap, there will be violence.

The other music genre that tends to trigger ire is opera. Play it, and a CD will definitely be turfed.

Indifferent to classical and certain forms of world music, I tend to stick by the old stand-by of Classic Rock.

Below are links to my Favourite 100 songs from the 1960s to the new millennia, as well as some reviews of my fave albums.

Enjoy.
